Welcome to the Prince of Wales – a friendly family pub at the heart of the hamlet of Green Tye, near the village of Much Hadham. Set in the pleasant, rural East Hertfordshire landscape three miles from Bishops Stortford, our unique nineteenth-century pub has a beer garden and a large car park. We are ideally located for visiting the Henry Moore Foundation and the St Elizabeth’s Centre, or as a base to park your cars and set off on one of the many recognised walking routes culminating in lunch at the pub.
We serve a range of real ales, lagers, wines, spirits and ciders, as well as a lunchtime bar menu, early evening food is available by prior arrangement. Regular events include an annual beer festival, live music and quiz nights. Takeaway beers and outside bars can be provided, we also have a large marquee that can be erected adjoining the pub for private functions, please contact us for further details. firstname.lastname@example.org
Walkers and cyclists are very welcome to stop for a break to enjoy our lunchtime home-cooked food, or just a cool refreshing drink. Advance notice of large groups is appreciated and will avoid delays. In the winter months a real log fire in the main bar provides extra warmth and a cosy atmosphere.
We pride ourselves on being a traditional village pub, which welcomes families. There are even free dog biscuits on the bar, which are so popular that a few of our human guests eat them!! Our May Beer Festival is eagerly anticipated ever year – with a huge choice of beers, great live music and our infamous madcap Morris Dancing regulars!
